EPA announced today that 131 communities will receive 218 grants totaling $55.2 million in EPA #Brownfields funding. These funds will aid communities and businesses to return economic stability to under-served and economically disadvantaged neighborhoods through the assessment and cleanup of abandoned industrial and commercial properties. 2016 Georgia Brownfield Seminar
The Georgia Brownfield
Association hosted its second annual Brownfield Seminar at Georgia Power on
Wednesday, April 20, 2016. The sold-out event provided a forum for discussions
about the environmental, financial, regulatory, and community factors that guide
brownfield remediation and redevelopment.
Seminar presenters shared information, case studies, and research about topics including EPD voluntary cleanup programs, Georgia investment and relocation trends, vapor intrusion best practices and innovative technologies, the brownfield redevelopment of Fort McPherson, and partnership strategies for in-town revitalization.
